Groundsperson / Gardener / Greenkeeper

Flexsource NI is currently recruiting for a Groundsperson on a temporary full-time basis, covering the Lisburn area, with a starting salary of £13.69 per hour

Responsibilities:

With a full copy of the Job Duties and Person Spec available on request, you will:

·        Be responsible for the maintenance and house keeping of Golf Courses, Cemeteries, Parks, Playing Fields, Landscaped areas etc

·        Carry out  grass cutting operations. Soil cultivation, fertilizing, site preparation and construction labouring.

·        Carry out horticultural operations such as the planting of trees, shrubs perennials, annuals and bulbs as directed.

·        Hedge-cutting and trimming operations, clearing leaves and litter. Simple pruning to trees, shrubs and perennials and the handling and application of chemical sprays as directed.

·        Driving large agricultural tractors and articulated vehicles e.g. van and trailer, as and when required

Requirements:

• Hold a Level 2 Horticulture qualification
• At least 2 years previous experience in a horticulture and grounds maintenance environment to include; Sports pitch maintenance, cemetery maintenance and golf course maintenance
• Have a full current driving licence and access to transport
• Possess chemical handling and application certificates PA1 & PA6A
